A Discord server that runs as a house, in the old sense. The house system came out of Harlem ballroom, built by Black and Latino queer and trans people because nowhere else would have them. A house was a chosen family under one name, with a mother or father at the head. They took you in, and you answered to the name.

The Haus of Sir works the same way, only online. The server is the house, Sir sits at the head of it, and the roles you earn show where you stand in the family. The shape comes from ballroom, and the credit belongs there.

Pig, or piglet, is what every member of the Haus is called. It’s the general name for everyone, whatever your role, and you’ll hear it from Sir and from each other.

In some kink scenes, depending on the context and the people in it, it blends into, or grows into, “faggot”. We’re upfront about that because it’s our reclaimed language: queer people taking a word used against us and using it on our own terms.

Everyone starts here. Verifying gives you @House Pig, the Haus’s beginner role and its foundation. It opens the Haus to you, and every other role is built on top of it.

The people who keep the Haus running are its @Legendary Children. In ballroom, legendary is a status the floor gives you after years of walking, and the children are the community itself. Here it means a member the Haus already listens to, recognised for what they bring to the room. They set the tone and sort out trouble.

The Haus’s founder, and an esteemed hypnotist dom. The Haus is built around his work in submission and conceptual hypnosis. Every file on goonbate™ is written, recorded and produced by him personally. He’s also an active, leading member of the community, and you’ll find him in The Haus of Sir most days, talking with everyone.

Chunk is @Sir’s Sub, Sir’s protégé, and the Haus Uncle. Trained by Sir, he runs Chunk World, his own rhythmic hypno platform. Purple is his colour.

Get Worse™ is the framework behind both the Haus and the hypno. It sounds like the opposite of self-improvement. It isn’t.

Getting worse means looking honestly at what you want, what you crave and who you really are, and owning it instead of hiding from it. The files take you deeper into that awareness, and the Haus is where you get to live it out loud. Self-improvement, through self-awareness.
